May 2011:
Darlene Reid from the Gilbert Historical Museum is an expert on Victorian Crazy Quilting. She was recently inducted into the Arizona Quilt Guild's Hall of Fame. Her presentation of crazy quilts and their history should be very interesting.


 

 

 

 


April 2011:
Ginny Goodbar is the new director of Quilting in the Desert and Quilting in the Pines. She brings 30 years of  contemporary quilting expertise. Ginny has taken, as well as taught, many classes and is motivated by color, texture, and design. Her program My Creative Journey will include stories of her experence and a display of her quilts.

 

 

 

 


March 2011:
Agave Quilters Guild Spring Potluck Luncheon hosted by Judy Stoner. Members only.

 

 

 

 

 


February 2011:
Award winning quilter, author, and teacher Jean Biddick from Tucson is our speaker. Her specialty is creating stunning machine pieced masterpieces. Many of her quilts are inspired by mosaic tile work and have won awards from both the American Quilter's Society in Paducah and the International Quilt Festival in Houston. One of her miniature quilts is in the permanent collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah. She started designing Mystery Quilts for The Quilter's Market in 2006 and enjoys sharing those designs with her students.

 

 

 


January 2011:
Monica Gonzales from Monica's Quilt & Bead Creations is back with her trunk show!! Monica will also be bringing a shopping extravaganza from her awesome shop in Palm Desert, CA.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Membership

Agave Quilters Guild is open to all persons interested in quilting. Dues are $25 per year (prorated if you join mid-year). Contact our Membership Chair with questions or to join. See our About Us page for more information.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (except June, July, and August).
