December 2014:

Agave Quilters Guild Holiday Luncheon. Agave says thank you to hospitality coordinators Jeanette Capizzo, Connie Kolb and Sandy Klouda and their committee for all of the hard work to make the party a complete success. There were holiday favors for everyone and a wonderful centerpiece for a special someone at each table. Members only.

November 2014:

Our speaker is Alyssa Lichner from Pile O'Fabric and a member of both the Phoenix and National Modern Quilt Guild. Alyssa is a modern quilter extraordinaire. She helped to found the local Phoenix Modern Quilt Guild, and is a featured instructor at Quilt Con 2015 in Austin, TX. She will demystify "modern" quilting for us while sharing her unique style of pattern design and free motion quiltng with a wonderful demonstration/trunk show. Alyssa will also have fabric from her online shop as well as her original patterns for purchase after her presentation.

October 2014:

Helen Robinson from Sew Kind of Wonderful with her fabulous patented Quick Curve Ruler is our presenter. In addition to showing us all the tricks that make curved piecing a breeze, Helen will be bringing all of the "Sew Kind of Wonderful" patterns which will be available for purchase. Each of these patterns uses the specially designed ruler to achieve unique and amazing quilt designs. No pins, glue, or a special foot is needed. Helen and her partner Jenny Pedigo have developed more than 20 unique patterns for use with their ruler. Come see what all the excitement is about!

May 2014:

A Trunk show will be presented by Cheri Maniz and Audrey Good from A Quilter's Oasis. Cheri and Audrey's business was formed in 2007. Their goal has always been to make interesting patterns for beginners and experienced quilters alike using the latest fabric precuts with visual aids to support written instructions. Color is at the center of their patterns, not just in the cover, but through the entire pattern.

April 2014:

Pat Roche will give a Power Point presentation on Triangles on a Roll. An educational class is scheduled on April 14 called Braided Technique with Pat Roche (Triangles on a Roll). Pat is the owner of Triangles on a Roll.

February 2014:

Ken Casey, native of Phoenix, AZ, presents Get Out of the Box with your Colors! Ken has been quilting 35+ years. He spent summers at Quilt Camp in Flagstaff taking classes from internationally known teachers to develop his skills. He has had shown quilts all across the country and is a certified instructor for AnglePlay Templates. Ken has spent years working in quilt shops teaching and helping others and is a member of the Eugene Modern Quilt Guild and SAQA. In 2004, he started Prickly Piecers Quilt Guild, a chapter of the Arizona Quilters Guild.

January 2014:

Rob Appell, art quilter, loves teaching people to sew and quilt and will be sharing his style of landscape quilting with us. Inspiring creativity is his passion. He got his hands on a needle and thread at a very young age and always enjoyed making art. He is also a textile designer and quilt educator as the host of Man Sewing and teaches quilting all around the world.
